Born in the Bronx, New York, Maxine Ashley is on a mission to have the world rocking to her tracks.

Drawing inspiration from Beyoncé and The Smiths, the vibrant coloured hair singer initially gained a large following on YouTube by covering songs from Rihanna, Jessie J and Alicia Keys before capturing the attention of Pharrell Williams. Fast forward to 2014 - and now the latest signing to Williams's label i am Other - Maxine's debut EP, Mood Swings, has been critically acclaimed by the likes of Noisey, XO Magazine and The 405. Currently at work in the studio on her new album, the highly anticipated release is set to feature collaborations from Two Inch Punch, Billion and Kendrick Lamar.
